Are you prepared for the Corporate Transparency Act?

November 20, 2023 @ 4:00 pm 5:30 pm EST

Jonathan G. Blattmachr Esq., Abigail E. O'Connor Esq. and Martin M. Shenkman Esq.

Webinar Description

This course will review the highlights, requirements, and framework to understand and address the Corporate Transparency Act (“CTA”), but it will go much deeper than just summarizing the new rules. This program will provide practical step-by-step strategies for communicating with clients about the CTA. The CTA becomes effective January 1, 2024. But you need to act NOW before the end of 2023 to help your clients.

This program will discuss actions that clients should start taking now.

  • How should practitioners inform and train staff about the CTA?
  • How does the CTA impact client decisions?
  • What options might practitioners consider for how much involvement with CTA filing requirements their practices should have?
  • How should practitioners gear up (or not) for the CTA?

The program will also address many of the ambiguities and uncertainties that may not be addressed before the CTA effective date.

  • What risks do clients and advisors have with CTA filings?
  • How might that risk be reduced?
  • Practical strategies that can be used to increase client secrecy in legally compliant ways will be explored.
