John Ellison

Software Engineer

John Ellison joined InterActive Legal in June 2025 as a Software Engineer. In his role, he designs and builds new software, develops features for existing applications, maintains legacy codebases, and assists teammates with technical problem-solving. He is a full stack developer with a particular strength on the front end, where he focuses on creating clean, intuitive, and accessible user experiences.

John has been programming professionally since 2018. Prior to joining InterActive Legal, he advanced through a series of technical roles at a marketing company, beginning in technical support and moving into web development. He later served as Website Development Team Manager, leading the design and development of client-facing web applications, before transitioning into a Software Engineering role focused on building and modernizing software systems. His background in marketing allows him to approach development with a strong emphasis on usability, accessibility, and user engagement.

Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, playing games, watching sports, and relaxing with family.
