Leveraging Technology for Law Firm Growth
September 10 @ 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm EDT
Webinar Description
It’s often been said that automation is the future, but most attorneys know that the future is now. Law firms currently use technology in a variety of ways – to manage contact and client information, handle billing, prepare legal documents, and more. Not every firm uses an automated document drafting system, but those that do can often leverage it and use it as a tool for more than just creating documents.
Today’s document drafting systems are more than simply software. They are an integral part of many practices because they have many facets:
- Automated document drafting creates consistency and efficiency.
- Less time drafting means more valuable time is available for client consultation.
- Drafting systems generally include detailed explanations of options and documents, which provide education and substantive training for new attorneys and other staff members.
- Drafting companies often provide additional educational opportunities for subscribers, focused on new legal developments or now to draft particular types of documents. This translates into more subject-matter training that can be particularly helpful for paralegals or younger attorneys.
- Drafting company documents are updated continually, which means firms can stay on the cutting edge, implementing new strategies or including new language soon after laws change, without having to spend time re-working their own forms
- Drafting companies usually work with experts in the field who may develop new planning strategies or create improved language to address particular situations.
In this webinar, Teresa Bush, Director of Education for InterActive Legal, will discuss how the above facets work together to let firms leverage a drafting system into a tool for far more than just drafting. She’ll cover the important questions to ask when considering any drafting system, which encompass not only the cost of the program – which is just one factor – but also the who, what, when, why, and how questions that will determine whether a particular system is a good match for your practice. Knowing what’s possible can help determine what solution will work best for your firm, your staff, and your clients.
