Drafting Common Estate Plans from Start to Finish in InterActive Legal
April 28, 2023 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm EDT
Subscriber Drafting Webinars provide continued training on various aspects of using the InterActive Legal software, usually focusing on drafting particular documents or using certain drafting options. These webinars are free to ILS subscribers. They provide insight and training regarding specific documents and options available within the drafting systems. Subscribers will receive an email outlining the topic of each drafting webinar with instructions for registration.
Webinar Description
InterActive Legal drafting systems contain hundreds of different options, which can make using the program sometimes feel a bit overwhelming. Many of the options won’t be needed for most clients, but are nice to have when the situation arises. So how can you best navigate the numerous drafting options in the program for your most common estate plans?
In this drafting webinar, we will prepare two estate plans – for two separate married couples – from start to finish. One will include revocable trusts, pour-over wills, and ancillary documents for both spouses, and the other will be similar but will include a joint revocable trust instead of two separate revocable trusts. During this process, we will demonstrate ways to set up your system to streamline the drafting process, specifically by using custom profiles, pre-set document packages, custom document names, and batch assembly.
In order to save a bit of time, we will demonstrate documents using the Essential Estate Planning system, which has slightly fewer drafting options. However, the concepts discussed are appropriate for users of all systems.
Join us as we discuss how to more efficiently prepare common “every-day” estate plans, so that more time is available for unique plans that can be more complex and challenging.
